JohnRender, If you would stop complaining (you remind me a lot of someone who is no longer here because he got on everybody's nerves like a fiddle with one stretched string), and started thinking, you might derive a few answers for yourself. egisys is a German company. It is quite possible that they conduct surveys to collect certain types of information and that they want that data delivered in a certain manner so that their own systems can analyze it. I have 2 German friends who are software developers, and from discussions, it is obvious that their business culture is different enough from ours that I make no assumptions about what is important to them or to their customers (both are in niche industries). Time is valuable. Most businesses recognize that, and when people take the time to fill out a survey responsibly, there should be some sort of compensation for that time. Either there is a significant prize for the collective time, or small individual gifts. egisys was collecting more information than simply our opinion on security. How many Poser users are Mac users? Even though the prize is a PC, those of us who prefer Macs need to speak up! Information on where we first heard about Poser and how long we've been using it and on what machines and for what purposes will help them direct their development and marketing. I am glad that they had a comments field. You have dismissed their survey form as "fancy" with unneeded quotation marks because they don't take the lazy way out? I suspect that the reason their form may be snagging on our firewalls is that the Germans have better privacy laws... maybe they don't have as many strings of barbed wire around their computers. You also directed us to start complaining about how egisys and CL are taking over our computers (in the same paragraph, msg 15). That is false and inflammatory. Do not presume to speak for us, or to us in such manner. Carolly
