I see your point Michelle. But the skull is most definitely a photograph and not a very good one. Do you use filters on your camera? To add a little colour into the sky. Have you made multiple exposures or sandwiched images together? Do you use creative darkroom techniques? Do you consider these photography or photo art? :O)
