Well I made the scene brighter... and attempted to use some lighting as Lin suggested. I still kept it very "dirty" in effect. I hope I didnt regress. If nothing else it's pretty funky lookin. Blue

Very weird, I like it...interesting view on the topic, didn't the first one have a faceless character with wings, pollution is a faceless spreading menace after all, just a thought...

Very nice...but he (it?) looks like it's doing the splits with his legs spread over the city. I don't knowif you intented this...it's a bit wierd. Maybe some light haze or fog over the city to give a hint of atmosphere and also to further the idea of pollution. I should be able to tell what the image is about without a description.

Yeah, pollution should be coming from everywhere to make up the figure, it does look like it's doing a split over the city...:c)

Thanks Zhann and madmax. Yes the split was intentional, in this version anyways. I sorta abandoned the original concept and decided to go all out funky... something different. It's supposed to be half odd, half awkward, half grotesque.. for 150% weird lol. As for the faceless concept, I dont think I abandoned that entirely. We all know who's face pollution wears.. I have yet to see a bunny rabbit using an aerosol can. Some take a view of pollution as all out evil, some say it is a necessary biproduct of us getting where we are going... whereever that is! I liked the other one much better, just my 2 cents!!!

BlueArdor ( ) posted Wed, 23 October 2002 at 2:36 PM

Howdy itsrainin and thanks for the two cents.. but.. you is supposed to give me more detail as to why ya liked it better? :P

The first picture seemed a bit more tragic, I had the feeling that the winged character was being killed by the pollution. This picture is definitely more creepy, pollution taking on a life of it's own. I think you succeed with getting 'weird' :) Lin

ok more on my 2 cents, the first one to me blendedthe polution and creature better, looked like the pollution was turning into a monster, the city looked more like an old industrial city because it was darker, dunno, to me the first one was really good.

I agree, first was better...that's my two bits worth
