I had a frightening experience yesterday. On a new machine I decided to only install Poser 5. But, Cinema4D imports pz3 files using a plug-in for Poser 4 Pro-Pack only. So, I decided to install Poser 4 and Pro Pack. Uh-uh-uhhhh. Not a good idea. Poser 4 installed flawlessly and everything worked. Then I installed Pro Pack and Hades cracked open! First, Pro Pack requires the same sort of registration as Poser 5 and everytime that I tried to register (to get a new Challenge/Response code), it used the Poser 5 serial, resulting in an error at CL's site everytime. Yes, I entered the Pro Pack serial. Then, I find that Poser 5 no longer runs with some sort of driver error that leaves it running but un-endable in the Task Manager. The only solution was to reboot, uninstall all three (P4, PP, and P5), and reinstall them in the 'correct' order. Some warning about this woulda been nice.... Kuroyume
C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the
foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg
off.
