Graphic cards doesn't really make any difference anyway. Poser doesn't use graphic acceleration. Anyway, have you tried saving the picture and then restarting Poser (perhaps even restarting the computer?) That's what I usually do when Poser starts acting up and so far it has helped. It seems Poser leaves something in memory each time you render, so the 10 previous renders might have filled up whatever space Poser uses for this.
