Attempted to give a worn look to a suit of armour i made. If you would like to see it untextured, it's posted in the gallery at the link. The untextured are flat gray with light domes providing the illumination. The texured is lit with eight omni lights. Comments appreciated. best, hewsan

Maybe you should lower the specularity and/or reflection. It looks a bit like marble, not metal. Or possibly make the grain smaller as to be less noticeable. but it doesn't look bad at all.

It looked metallic to me on my PC, I think you've done a great job in getting a worn look. The only thing I think you might need are one or two obvious dents and/or scratches. How the heck you would pull that off, I am completely unable to tell you. :) The only other thing I want to tell you, which you probably already know, is that this guy should be wearing gloves of some sort. Dents are a good idea, Lin. Assuming hewsan made the armor in a program other than Bryce, maybe he can alter the mesh to create realistic dents. Excellent job on the armor and textures, BTW.

Erlik appreciate the comment. This is the third textured version so far. The first had the armour using the texture that's on the axe head... not happy there... Next added to much noise and darkened to far.... and finally this. Liked the way the lights played with the specularity, but still to close to it to see it objectively, so may need to change it again.......
Isstrout & tjohn - appreciate the favorable comments - and yep... i know the character needs guantlets - but they would take me as long or longer [:)] to make then what's already here. Not used to modeling clothes - guess that armour can be considered clothes - so when it got to what you see - brought it into Bryce to see how it would actually look with some textures.
Modeled in Rhino3D and dings aren't hard to add - but been doing web search for reference images of real sets of armour and intend to do a better one soon.
Appreciate and best to you all
