Subject: Anyone using Poser with a gig of ram?

SDRAM only goes up to 133MHz bus speed. DDR can handle 266-533MHz bus speed. Which do you think is faster? :) 1 to 2GB of DDR RAM will solve most ills, especially 3D graphics ones in Poser. Yes, there is a definite increase in performance with more memory and especially if you can switch from SDRAM to DDR. Although it's not cheap! 1GB will cost you about $300. It would also behoove you to verify that your harddrives are 7200 RPM (or better) and not 5400 RPM, as this will effect both your file loads and virtual memory swapping speed. C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
