Whichever route you go, save yourself some sanity, go with quality ram. When I first popped up to a gig one year ago, I went with uber-generic ram. I noticed a huge difference when it came to poser, but the system was much more unstable. Depending on your price range, I would suggest DDR ram, and go with either Corsair, Micron, or Mushkin ram. Theyre a little more pricey, but the performance is worth it. On a budget? Try Corsair value ram. Just as stable as the rest, but without the ram heat spreader (and the modules arent necessarily from the same batch). The sticks run anywhere form $100 to $175 (look around, deals can be found if searched for). Last but not least, you may want to consult your boards manual to see what your system can (and cant) handle. No sense in paying extra for the high-speed memory if your board doesnt support it (unless you want to take advantage of the higher speeds on a later update). Good luck! ~DM
