Creativepro.com (which I found through links on the White Crow site) ran an article recently on MetaCreations and their move to Metastream. It's at http://www.creativepro.com/story/feature/0,1819,4810,00.html (or at least WAS last time I checked...:))

Does it say anything about MetaC frying in hell?

No, but they do say: What do you think of MetaCreations' decision to abandon its traditional graphics software in favor of MetaStream? Click vox box and share your opinion! So, you could do so.

Although the article does not shed any new light on the fate of Poser or Bryce, the "VoxBox" reply feature made it worthwhile visiting the site. It's a great opportunity for the Poser and Bryce community to be heard outside of our own special world.

If you want to know that power you really have here; lurk at http://www.slashdot.org/ for a while. Being slash-dotted is not a Denial of Service; it is Undeniable Power. The best revenge is to just bring them to their knees.

The ebot said I had a reply; but it appears to be deleted (you know who you are). I wuz kidding. But there's always 200+ people signed on here. You couldn't (and probably shouldn't) bring down their server; but if you agree on which way you want to move the pointer, you probably could. Personally I agree with the journalistically objective waffling, "On one hand, MetaStream is a logical extension of MetaCreations' core 3D technologies... But on the other hand, MetaCreations seems to be grasping at straws."
