Sorry, I'm not sure about transparency maps. But I did import a 3DS model - a freebie galleon ship called San Juan that comes with a separate set of textures. I directed VUE to import the San Juan and VUE initiated a search for the textures without prompting. The ship and textures all imported with no problems. I have heard there's problems with textures transferring when importing Poser figures. Gebe and the pros could elaborate on that more than me. If you want to find out more right now do a search in this forum for 'transparency' or 'pz3' or 'importing' - because I've seen it discussed in several threads here. Good Luck!
