Looks good so far. Maybe try and add a bit of depth the wound on his head, and do a bit more with the lights to give the idea of reflection on the chrome. I mostly go for a red light and a blue one. Don't know why, seems to work OK. Re the face damage - I'm not suggesting you go as far as I did (see link) but a bit of gore never hurt anyone! ;)
