Is it only me or does Hair for Poser 5 SUCK? Like, When I hit Do Collisions, I expect the hair to only bounce off other objects - not each other making this messy tangled disgusting mess of hair. GAH. And if I have set to anything higher than 3000 hair pop. it crashes my computer at rendering.

It's you.

Not a problem for me. I keep mine cut to about an 1/8 inch (about 2mm for the rest of you) Picked up a clipper kit from Wal-mart 3 years ago, and just run it over my head once a week or so. Completely eliminated those pesky collision problems, as well as not having to pay a barber.

...

Ok, my wife just counted, 8593 strands up there and I've only crashed once (wasn't my fault, it was dark).

Sorry, couldn't help it. Nothing constructive to say so I'll just babble.

The P5 Hair is pretty good, but it does have a problem when you use the collision detection on itself.

I think there's a way to get it to collide with head and body without using CD on the hair itself.

I'll experiment a bit and get back to this thread.

xenic, your wife has entirely too much time on her hands.

There was a thread a while back, this is a bug (a true bug) that CL has yet to fix. Makes the hair pretty useless for animation. It's definetly not you.
