Jeny: I realize that the timing may have been weird, and no, I wasn't expecting a letter myself. OTOH, why not just make it a public apology and be done with it? Why the secrecy? Was it at least posted on the Merchants' Private forum? Yes I could've e-mailed the question, but then, I'm not the only one asking here, and it is a question that affects all merchants. I'm honestly not out to raise the rabble, but since the mistakes Tim made were fairly public, why should the apology, such as it may have been, not also be made public? And yes, it was me who asked... I'm not above claiming ignorance, and I'm not above asking about it as a member of the community, out in the open. Ma'am, I would hope that folks would ask me questions about my actions openly and honestly, and by any means they feel comfortable with, and I would certainly do my level best to answer them in the same fashion. I'm a mere mod at Faeriewylde right now (and no I don't want to know the little nickname your compatriots may or may not have given us - I can already formulate them well enough now, thanks much.) Thorne, myself, Isaac, Angeilyn... we keep admin policies as open and as transparent as possible, and with no punches pulled - we just find nice ways of saying the news if it's bad. It prevents the usual raft of conspiracy theories. No, we don't have a store there, but then, even if we did, I doubt Thorne would get all secretive and political about how the site is run. Also notice that by asking out in the open, a straight answer in the open (or even just a reprint of what was posted in the letter) would prevent all these theories from flying amongst the black helicopter crowd. In all fairness, I'm actually presenting you with a golden opportunity to present things in the light of day. Jeff: No offense, but it sucks to be you if that screenie was what I think it was... :) Jaqui's right, though... if the worst that happens is that you make up names for competing sites, then it can't be all that evil in there (I'm curious, though - what name do y'all call DAZ?)
