First of all your name makes me a bit queasy, I've had a few bad experiences with peppermint shnaps when I was much younger ;-) As for the image you might want to add some wakes to where the whales are surfacing.Without them it looks like they've been sitting in the same spot for a while.That's just a little something that bugs me about some Bryce renders I've seen.Water does flow around objects, I've seen a lot of stuff that looks like it was trapped in ice. Start with the smudge tool for the wakes and use dodge and burn for highlights and shadows. Keep experimenting, you have nothing to lose!
