It's lack of support like this that caused me to move away from using Macs years ago. I started doing 3D graphics on the Mac ages ago, using programs such as Infini-D. when I realised that more and more products were being made for Windows over Macs, and the difference in prices on hardware, I quickly switched to windows and haven't looked back since.
