Hi again, everyone. This is my latest character. I've been working on him for a couple of days now. The last time I posted, someone asked for him, and since I thought he was cute, I thought I would try it. The renders here are not final, so I know they need some post work. Basically, I am looking for how I can improve his face. I've been tweaking and tweaking, but I just can't see where I can get any closer . . . yet I know it does not look like him. So, I know he's grown beyond my eyes now. If anyone is interested in making hair or clothes for him, I would be most appreciative. I do intend to uplaod him as a morph when I am done as well as some other male morphs that trav does not have. Credits: morphs by trav, beard by Stefan Klimach. BTW, does anyone have any particular male morphs they are looking for?I can't promise to deliver, but I'm curious. Lynda

Whoops! I forgot to mention that I also used Bushi's real eyes. I swear, I use them so much that I forget that they are default. I also used Allie's small eye morphs which took my characters to a whole new level in themselves. Sorry!

Online Now!

I think a good texture map wouldnt hurt either. Looks like a good start. Maybe if you changed the lens on the camera from 25 to 50mm you might get a better render. Dave

The god of war is Ares in Greek and Mars in Latin. Aries with an `i' is Latin for "ram" and is one of the signs of the Zodiac.

I was hoping somone would create him! Looks like a good start, but yes, he is wider through the middle of the face. Keep it up! I'm hoping you'll make him for download.

Excellent job. You might want to try dialing towards the negative on Flat Face and towards the positive on Cheeks. This will balance the nose without enlarging, and masculinize the brow slope at the same time. As for the two basic probs with the baseline Master Dork-- too-long chin and too hollow beneath the brows--you might try playing with the rotate chin and chin out Traveler morphs. For bringing down the curve beneath the brows, a well-placed magnet with a teensy Zone, or grouping and selecting the polygon thingees under the brow as the Zone, should get you the effect you're after without having to over-dial the Brow Down, negative Worry adjustments. Just a whisper of puffy eyes Traveler morph will also increase the cheek area's focus and credibility.

What you have there looks more like a pro-wrestler (Al Snow I think, or maybe Steve Blackman; I don't pay that much attention when the kids are watching) than TVs Ares. The head needs to be more squarish, and the jaw a little stronger to be a "perfect" likeness.

As mentioned before, wider face. My experience with the Xena-verse of characters is to use balance. Get the face shape right, 1st, then massage the texture. As for clothing, unless your renders are all tight close-ups, a good likeness does not make up for bad clothes. Good clothes will distract from so-so likenesses in full character renders. My Grabrielle dresses better than her facial features can detract. Good Luck.
