I'm in the process of doing the same. Have a webserver up (Apache), an FTP server, 15GB space, and a 768Kb T1. Anybody interested? Jaqui, are you going to manually set up HTML links to files? I'm trying to do this automatically. Is that what you mean by "hotlinking"? Though, I would only allow login/password access to the FTP server with a usage policy for security reasons. C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.
