This is remarkably like the effect I was ranting on about quite some time ago!! S'good, still one of my personal favourite playthings too. When I did it I used a normal desk lamp snooted off with a sheet of card roled into a tube. For those non-smokers, you can get the same effect with incense sticks - actually, it's a bit more controllable then, coz if you want thicker smoke you light 2 or more and put them together.
