I agree with the suggestion to tone down the red a bit. I think if you do, the images and details will show up better. But overall chohole, I do very much like your render. You've done a great job with the layout of the scene and for me, it does create an image that beckons to the world beyond. Really nice and I look forward to seeing more of your work!

The trouble was if I toned down the red, then I lost some of the ambiant haze effect, which I needed. I like monochromes anyway. I will have another go at adjusting the levels maybe in PS, that might do it.

Looks cool but I wonder if the "Land of fantasy" should have a different color scheme so it looks like a different place? Right now it looks almost like everything else. One thing you might try since you are thinking monochrome anyway is to make the non fantasy area shades of grey to give it a dismal look and then use bright colors for the fantasy land. Think grey rainy day vs golden summer afternoon.
