Yes it is. While there are some new things added to B5 like the tree lab, the rest of the program is the same. The terrain editor has a different look, but same functions and buttons. Same with the material labs. Also, the light lab is merely a collection of the lighting controls that were already available in different places in B4. Kitchen's book explains in detail a heck of a lot of stuff that you will want to know in B5. There's no other book on the market that is as detailed.
