Hair models designed with transparency maps have produced the most realistic results in Poser. In addition to Kosaburo's hair models, there is also an excellent transmapped hair model by Allerleirauh here in FreeStuff (at least I think its still here), and another versitile one with a lot of morphs by Ian Grey & Traveler at MorphWorld or PFO.
