Once I downloaded some poser tool (which worked quiet fine, no complaint on that part) and made payment through Kagi Online-Shop. I have no 100% proof but I'd bet serious money that their server has been compromised sometimes: I tried to buy that software on a Saturday and it would not work: Upon sending the details of my credit card the payment would not go through although I tried several times. Next day it worked fine on the first try. A few days later I received an email in my mailbox which had a fake address (it used a NAME@mydomain so I KNEW it could not be real...I keep track of all the email addresses I issue for that domain. Apparently that "address" had been used for receiving the email confirmations for purchases with MY credit card. Only weak spot in the plan was that whoever got my credit card details tried to make it too authentic: Since I am the webmaster of that domain I received that bogus mail nevertheless since it could not be delivered to the receptient proper. Think of my surprise to learn that someone in Jakarta had used my credit card for ordering a cell phone at an electronics online shop in Dubai. Since I am located in Europe I can tell for sure U did NOT order a cell phone for delivery in Jakarta/Indonesia. Of course I contacted my credit card company right away, and no damage was done. The story even came to an amusing end when a couple of weeks later I received another email from that shop in Dubai directed to the same fake receptient, telling him that the credit card payment did not work and that in case he wanted the merchandise he should t/t the money...it almost broke my heart thinking of a lonesome Indonesian hacker sitting in his room waiting for his cell phone that will never arrive :) So be carefull. If your payment does not go through right away, something might be afoot.
