I looked at turbosquid when I was wanting to buy a model ragtop car for a web site logo some time back. Duddly's stang was cheaper so I bought that through DAZ and he even made a top just for the project (of course, its available for all). So, all I can say is if I really need something and that's the only place to get it, so be it. But if I can find more cost effective ways and toss a buck or two towards this community, I will. Ok, there's other sources for models, both commercial and non commercial freebies. Do the google thing. IM me if you want some links. Also, this site has over 1200 models availabe on CD.
