Another strike against Direct X is the fact it's totally dependant on windows os no other os need apply since MS 'don't serve their kind' For DAZ to do something based on direct x would put them at the 'tender mercies' of MS licensing (insert comments about foxes and henhouses) Also it would mean that two different graphic systems would be needed also cross platform file exchange would end since the two systems wouldn't read the others format. Feed direct x to the sharks and go with Open GL
Why shouldn't speech be free? Very little of it is worth anything.
