I've done the same thing. I think sometimes the Mac system does not interpret the file info properly - the resource fork is there, just unrecognized as such. This can be tweaked with ResEdit or any other file editor. I also think that sometimes the PC file is not saved "properly" and the resource fork is lost. Since PC files don't use it, it won't matter on a Windows machine, but you have to add the fork for it to open on a Mac. GoM (pardon the abbreviation)if you are uncomfortable with ResEdit, there are a number of resources on the web that offer tutorials, or you can ask a Mac type to walk you through it. If the resource fork is missing, ResEdit will add one when it tries to open the file. It will ask you if you want to do this. Click yes. BUT ALWAYS WORK ON A COPY OF THE FILE.
