I'd hate to see them CRUCIFIED like Curious Labs was if they happen to disappoint us (which I don't think they're going to do, but you never know).<<< With all due respect, I do not think the so-called "crucifixion" came about due to a sense of "disappointment." Disappointment is not the feeling or word that comes to my mind. Betrayal comes to mind. Misled also springs to mind. In my opinion, public statements were made that, in hindsight, were overblown at best and outright fabrications at worse. Promises were made and not kept. And the attempts so far to make good on those promises have fallen far short. Basic assumptions that could be made just by the shipment of the product were betrayed. And those assumptions were further betrayed when the answer to solve the problems was that we all become lab rats in a public beta test (After the shipment of the product?) that none of us would have paid to be a part of! I do not see the planting of overblown promises in Mr. Farrs post. In fact, I see the opposite. He has cautioned everyone not to go overboard on their expectations. I would advise everyone to heed that caution. That is also why I advised a fellow community member in another thread to wait for the initial reactions to the DAZ product before deciding between it or ----- -. Once bitten, etc., etc. As for beta testing, I would also advise caution to DAZ. No disrespect to those who have volunteered, but DAZ may wish to consider a beta universe that uses a very small number of selected, trusted members of artists from this community and then a much larger number of professional neutrals those not familiar with DAZ or a certain other company. In other words, virgins. And, for quality control, security and other reasons, anyone that had been a beta-tester for ----- - must be disqualified in participating in any testing of the DAZ product. The use of any of those beta-testers would, as they call it, contaminate the process. This is not a jab at any of those beta-testers. I know who some of them were and have the highest respect for them and their talents. However, I have been involved in a few tests over the years and that is just the way it must be done. Take care and be well. casamerica
