I can "open in new window" OK, but if I use ctrl-n to open a new window (showing the current page of course) I get no status bar. I'm on dial-up so the XP firewall suffices. Outlook Express was screwy about switching identities too, had to make it prompt rather than having a default ID. Same version no. as you.
