Very thought provocking. A little large for downloading. On my DSL line it was 3 minutes to download, with no indication as to how much more. Flash has a way to test how much has been downlaoded, and you can use that to drive a graphic indicating how much longer. I would imagine a 56K user wouldn't wait for the whole thing. Maybe experimenting with the audio quality to see where a compromise point is to shrink the file. Also, a front-end page to allow people a choice between a better quality version, and a quicker download version could be an option. With my system, a P4 1.8Ghz 512RAM with aDSL and a gateway/router, the images finished about 1 minute before the audio. I know that the streaming option can make sure the images and audio finish together, I also know that you can end up with stuttering problems if you use it. Maybe cut up the audio into smaller chunks, and then lay them back to back. The player will play them smoothly through, while you can then trigger the images at each audio start, guarenteeing that they stay in sync. I would also consider a credits page at the end. Maybe some links for people to more info for thought and discussion. Do you know of any sites that this theme would be a good gateway for? Or, is that what your putting togther yourself? I was waiting for somewhere to go to continue the theme. All around, an excellant example of what can be done for the future of mankind, instead of another marketing fluff piece. Well done.
