GoM, I had the same trouble with that file. What you need to do is open a known good Bryce 4 file in ResEdit and check its Type and Creator codes. You do this under File> Get Info within ResEdit, if I recall correctly. Note the correct codes from the good file. (I'd tell you what they are, but I can't remember) Open the castle file the same way and add the correct codes. Save the file and you're done. Make sure you have a backup of the file. The other apps I mentioned are also good for this, and may have an easier UI (File Buddy is the one I'm familiar with). Good luck. -sk
