It certainly raises some intruiging questions. Eventually this kind of technology will make its way into programs like Poser (don't think so? Look at the leaps this program has made since vers 1), and then you'll be creating cyber beings that are more or less sentient: able to respond to their environment, able to perform tasks and (apparently, from the article) learn from them. In a strange kind of way, you'd be building a new lifeform, capable of acting and reacting within the environment you place it. So what happens when you're through with your newly-AI-endowed Vicky? When you delete her, does she die? It sounds silly, I'm sure, but as this stuff gets this sophisticated, it does bring up some greyish kind of issues.
