Yay! We SO need a decent cat. I think a basic domestic shorthair would do nicely, and could be morphed into almost anything. For now, too, longer fur can be done in postwork. The biggest problem with the current cat is that it just doesn't look like a real cat in any way, and it doesn't have proper joints. The creation of an anatomically correct (and I'm not talking about genetalia, I'm talking about bone and muscle structure) cat (and dog PLEASE?) would make my year.
