I like the ideas you guys are proposing. About 60% of the items I have are from freestuff, and I couldn't tell you if they are commercial, non-commercial, or even who made them most of the time. Having that built in would be wonderful. As for textures, most modern graphics formats have fields for metadata or creator data, the DRM info could simply be placed there. I like where this is going, if it would only be implemented!
