Puntomaus The 'Dynamic' part of dynamic addressing affects only the last 2 sets of numbers of an IP address. As long as you are connecting from the same location the first 2 sets are constant & can be used to trace the ISP & location of a user (this is consistent whether you use dialup, cable, or DSL). Just as an example here is a series of IP addresses based on my location (note that despite the fact that I logged off & on several times the DNS resolve is identical in all cases) *** Looking up 12.84.200.100 *** Resolved 12.84.200.100 to 100.westallis-05rh15rt.wi.dial-access.att.net + *** Looking up 12.84.202.67 *** Resolved 12.84.202.67 to 67.westallis-06rh15rt.wi.dial-access.att.net + *** Looking up 12.84.205.79 *** Resolved 12.84.205.79 to 79.westallis-07rh16rt.wi.dial-access.att.net + *** Looking up 12.84.200.109 *** Resolved 12.84.200.109 to 109.westallis-05rh15rt.wi.dial-access.att.net + *** Looking up 12.84.200.230 *** Resolved 12.84.200.230 to 230.westallis-05rh15rt.wi.dial-access.att.net + *** Looking up 12.84.200.49 *** Resolved 12.84.200.49 to 49.westallis-05rh15rt.wi.dial-access.att.net
