ernyoka1, the reason that a person can get right back in is because of dynamic addressing. As I pointed out above, everytime you login there are subtle differences in the last two sets of numbers in your IP address. This is enough to circumvent the ban. And yes you're correct the global ban you were caught in was probably established by an unexperienced/sloppy chanop :-) btw, unless you know what you are doing, posting your actual IP number really isn't a good idea. It identifies your computer during this session the same way your street address tells someone what house you live in.
