I,m new to the site and have to say this is the most intriging idea Ive seen in a long, long time. Somebody, somewhere will tackle the logistics of making a movie over the internet and logic suggests the only way foreward would be an Cg animated movie. From what I,ve seen so far of the talent & spirit of co-operation displayed on the site,it may as well be you guys.Whether it turns out to be a Mega hit or an odd curiosity you will still be staking out your place in movie history. I work in the U.K.doing Cg post production for a video company(After Effects & Premier only I,m afraid no Flame here yet) but would be glad to get involved. Contrary to the writers Ego,s raising there little heads already, you CAN begin by writing by commitee. What is needed at the early stage is not the Overall Concept of the "Ive ot an idea bigger than the X-Men,Lord of the Rings,Star Wars"approach(Everyone has one of those I,m afraid) but to begin suggesting short, very carefully thought out polished little gems of scenes. These are known in the trade as "unsubmersables"and it is suprisingly easy to adapt such memorable moments to the needs of the final story as most stories have scenes such as Hero Trapped,Hero Escapes,Confrontation with Villian,Etc. Well thats my two "Penneth" worth as we Brits say.I,m now girding my loins in preperation for the writers onslaught.
