It looks like there's interest in this, and that's a great start. I have experience as an independent filmmaker (live action, though) and have done some Poser and Bryce animations. I also have post-prodiction capabilities with Final Cut Pro, Commotion DV, etc... I'd be happy to lend a hand. Some suggestions: This kind of collaboration has been done before. Check out Planetary Traveler and Infinity's Child. These were produced/coordinated by Jan Nickman and produced entirely on desktop computers by artists whose primary communication was the internet. Check it out at www.thirdplanet-inc.com I might suggest that, given the collaborative nature of this kind of project, it should have a loose narrative. It will be extremely difficult to coordinate animators at a distance if the plot dictates style to the nth degree... If you haven't seen Planetary Traveler, check it out to see how this one works. It's not to say you can't have more of a narrative then PT, but it shouldn't be too tight. I might also suggest publicising this early on at other high-profile 3d forums. There is a lot of talent out there, best to make use of the best you can get. That's NOT to say there isn't talent HERE, just that this isn't an excluinve club. Someone might also want to get in touch with notables like Nickman, Wenger, Stahlberg, Murphy... see if their interest can be captured. -sk
