In answer to your question about persistence of texturs, if you import the tweaked figure before deleteing the old one, yes. Bryce is not quite as friendly as poser regarding poser originated textures, but in reality it is not too difficult. Many people here have mastered this without too much pain and effort. If you have any questions, ASK! There is always someone here who can help. I would suggest, picking up this as the render engine capability as well as the scene creation capacity in Bryce vastly exceeds that of poser (personal opinion). I use poser on the laptop open concurrent with Bryce on the desktop (they're linked by P2P LAN). To re-iterate, please feel free to ask.
