funny, i didn't even know there are sub-pixel-grids in photoshop. they're quite useless, i think? in fact 1 pixel in a bitmap-paint-program (like photoshop) is the smallest unit. you can't draw 1/4 pixel. of course you can draw vector-paths which are not attached to your pixel-grid, but if you fill the path - voila - pixels.
