One other note on Carrara, I forgot to mention a few things. Carrara has a subdivision modeler. Here's a quote from their web page. "Subdivision Modeling allows the design of complex and highly detailed Characters. Thanks to the use of simplified polygonal objects automatically subdivided to add details, this approach greatly simplifies the modeling of easily animated realistic characters." There is also a terrain modeler and a formula modeler. -Kix
