It's sad that people like the snotty responder there have to give everyone a bad name. I'm quite certain that most people in these groups do not realize that they're doing anything wrong and will respond appologetically if politely asked not to. The average person is understandably confused about copyright, and there are so many misconceptions, such as the ideas that it's not infringement if no money is made or that it isn't copyrighted unless there's a notice. If approached calmly and politely, I find that most of them meant no harm and will try to make things right. As for the snot, I'd love for him to consult with his "friend in Washington". His friend in Washington would inform him that HE'S the one in the wrong.
