Hadn't thought of using satellite images! (SO OBVIOUS!!) - Actually I live in Florida but haven't been to Epcot in years. I've been thinking about modeling our city (Jacksonville)for years - I've never seen it done anywhere and the satellite thing is such an obvious starting point! I have a program (TextureMaker) that could help me unscew ground level photos of wall murals and architectural ornamentation. Still a daunting task. Damn I hate it when people get my mind flowing! :) Thanks for the ideas. Jim

This is GREAT!! I just purchased the monorail and station yesterday! Now I'll have to try to model the whole complex - Anyone know where I can get a current map of Epcot with Reference pics? Thanks. Jim

I like that - think I'll get it next week. (Check coming on Thurs ;) - Maybe the Dhow too. Still there is a very small boat used (I think) - smaller then the dhow - I one offset sail and totally open. maybe I dis-remember. Probably MIGHT be able to do in Rhino with splines/NURBS and convert to polys then into C4D/BodyPaint 2 after some resewarch on woods used. Texturing is FUN to me and have tons of large photos to help. Looks like that barge will need a paint-job too! 100 Yrs of National Geographic CD's might help with that. I syuspect it was encrusted with heiroglyphs. Jim (Thanks for hunting)

Thanks I'd seen that one also. Hehe - guess it's time to do some serious research and practice my miserable modeliing skills. I have several High-e4nd modelers - Just not good at it.

Monsoon, Going to get your SeaVue (Will I need the other one too (Can't remamber it's name) The first ofthe month. I have a question. I love Egypyology (I was probably the only 6th grader in 1958 that tried to learn heiroglyphics!) I'dd like a true Egyptian boat - any - but especially the kind you see on the Nile (ancient and/or modern) Is there a mmodel you know of orreally good reference I could model from? Jim

Strike that I had to look under Vue then materials. It must not be in their searchable database yet. Posted this to help others find it.

I only find a product called "Seascape Enhancements" - Is that the one? A search for your name or Seasvue only found this.

The terrain texture in #3 seems the best to me. Overall, I have to agree with nanotyranus.
