It should work. Put a null character in the scene. Select the null character. Put V2 in the scene. Select V2. Put a second null character in the scene. Select the second null character. Put a second V2 in the scene. The V2s should have functional BODY dials and not crosstalk.

If it's a plot to generate more D|S buyers, it isn't a very good plot. D|S is free.

Morph Manager can only transfer morphs between figures that call the same model with the same actor grouping. Meaning, it can transfer a V3 morph to another copy of V3, an M2 to an M1 or M2 (same model and grouping), and so on. The Tailor is used for trying to emulate morphs in different models/figures.
