Sadly, the limit of this thing is not the Program itself but the absolutly horrible state of speach synth. Everyone sounds like a friggin robot. Still If you don't have access to real voice talent, you CAN dummy up some animation with voice. I haven't checked, but is there a way to save the voice file for sync with the animation? I would prefer a seperate .wav file if possible.

John. I realize your fustration, I even thank you for it because it tells me somethine I wrote must have had some value to you, but messages are not the property of Renderosity. They are the intelectual property of the original copyright holder. Just like any pictures I chose to share either in the gallery or the message board. The whole point is that our "donation" to this community is in fact what makes it worth being a part of. From tutorials and solid information, to dumb jokes an bad puns, and yes... even the occosional verbal slugfest. I'm sure you'll eventually be able to find whatever I wrote at some other site that deals with Poser and art. I really can't imagine not sharing what I can. Your real question should be... why is the Renderosity staff fostering the kind of environment that make people who contribute things you find valueable, leave.

This is a little premature and I'm not quite ready to comment effectively. Quite frankly, I didn't think any one would notice this quickly, if at all. I'm also not sure if I can even get this post up, or how long it will last. But since some one else bothered to notice, I think I owe you an answer... even if it is currently only a partial one. For well over the past year, Renderosity has been slowly tightening a noose around the freedoms we once enjoyed here. They call it improvement, and it is part of the policy they consider neccerary to make this site a good business. To make it acceptable to the average person. I call it censorship. The truth be told... I have no problem with having posts the moderators feel are inapropriate being deleted. It is, in my humble opinion their right to manage content they feel is inappropriate. I've had more than few posts deleted here. I accepted that with a smile, and not another word. However... when the deletion of a post is coupled with disaplinary action that can result in the termination of my access, I expect an explanation of specifically what I did wrong, and the chance to logically argue my case. When my 1st Official Warning was issued, I only accepted that judgment because other parties involved in the dispute were also given warnings. It was case where everyone one got grounded for fighting, and while I didn't completely feel I deserved it, that fact that it was an even handed decsion persueaded to me accept it and move on. The latest 2nd warning however, not only was I the only one accused and penalized, but I feel I was wrongly accused. There is nothing in the TOS that suggests critisizing peoples logic (or lack there of), is a violation of TOS. I was accused of a Personal Attack. Yet I gave no inference to any specific person, there for it CANNOT be a personal attack. At the very least, this grey area should have been taken into account. It was not. Instead, I was issued a 24 hour suspension my posting rights. The final insult was when I was issued a Third formal warning, for my post in the New Product category. I can't tell you what that post was about because if I do I'm sure this message will be officially censored as well. For this I was accused of violating a TOS clause about "Any practices that affect the normal operations of the community". I completely fail to see how informing vendors about the reprocutions of this sites practices, or the options avaiable to them affect the normal operations. There is a bigger picture here. I feel this is clearly not about duious violations of TOS. This is part of an ongoing witch hunt to get rid of pesky Free Speech activists who point out that Renderosity the Business is killing Renderosity the Art Community. I'm sure if this message is allowed to stand, an Official Spin will placed on it to make their actions seem resonable. That is after all, how to take away peoples rights. By making their loss seem resonable. Given a pending third strike that I really can't do anything about. The only way I can show my dissatifaction with my unfair treatment is to remove my contribution to this Community while I am still able. It may seem petty, but since my voice is about to be silenced anyway, the only way I have left to protest these unfair, if not illegal actions, is to take back what I have given. This was no easy task. A couple times as I deleted posts I almost cried. Occasionally helping out people is really the only thing that kept me coming back here, and what made fighting for all our rights to be heard wortht he effort. Many times I thought to my self, Maybe I should leave this one. In a few cases I did when it was indeed about the defending the rights and freedoms we are all losing here. But the fact is, if I quietly skulked off and left this administration with the value I put into this community, it would be almost like condoning their Official Personal Attack on me. All I have left to say "they are wrong" is to leave a hole where I used to be. I'm just sorry that fighting the tyrany that seems to have taken hold of Renderosity has the secondory effect of hurting the community that I so loved being a part of. The fact is that even if R'osity could muster the neccerary character to offer an official appolgy (which I strongly doubt would ever happen), and were to lift any bans they have placed on me, I could never feel comfortable posting here again. Reguardless of the outcome, they have kicked my out of this community, if not officially, certainly spirtually. To any one who was kind enough to notice, or care, if you remember the things I shared withyou over the past 3 years, then truly you still have them. Even with out the original post. If you don't, well... Don't worry. This is not the end of Ratteler. I join a crowd of good company. Legume, Dodger, Ziggy, and I'm sure many others who have become fed up or been virtually slain in the fight against political correctness and the least common denominator. I'll just be moving to places where my contribution and rights are respected, and where sharing them is not assumed to be a gift given by the owners, but where receiving them is considered my gift to the owners. My message was a little over the top. I don't even mind the deletation as much as the "official warning". I probably deserved a slap on the wrist... it's the "STRIKE TWO!" that has my Irish up.

Now that I re-read it the post I got warned for was probably closer to being in violation of that than a personal attack. If it was taken literally.

"Common curtesy" is buzzword for saying "my way is right, and yours is wrong."

Would you read a Playboy in front of your children? Of course not. If you did would you blame me for your child seeing nudity. Of course not.

But some how when you open a web browser on your computer in your home and surf wherever you want, it magically becomes my responsibility.

If I have to bear that burden, I think your kids should see violence and sex, and since YOU gave me that responsibilty, it is YOU who should do what I say. If you don't like my style, and opinion of how your children should be raised... RAISE THEM YOURSELF!

It's called Personal responsibilty, and it SHOULD outweigh "Common Courtesy".

It all boils down to PERSONAL resposibility. My message WAS caustic and bitting, but a personal attack has to be against a person. Doesn't it? I was critical of a type of person without pointing out anyone in particular. Can you launch a personal attack against an unnamed group? My post was also satrical. It was worded in such a way that no reasonable person could take it seriously. I could go on forever... but the bottom line is every post like the one that started this is about the same thing. Restricting what WE say because some one doesn't want to take the responsibility for THEIR action of looking at it. Morality, children, family values. These are buzzwords designed to make accepting the removal of our rights easier to swallow. To make the unreasonable seem the opposite. If they claim my violence and sex can desenitise them to make it acceptable, can they not also desenitise me my rights being violited? If they have a Right to protection from my opinion, shouldn't I also have a right to protection from theirs? Well, they have not changed a mans mind simply because they have silenced him. If theyve made their morality, children, and family values MY responsibility, why is it ME who has to do what they say? If they insist on placing the responsibilies for their choices on ME, I will fight with my last breath to make sure it THEM who gives up THEIR rights.

I'm very interested in Ultra Lo res figures. The trick is, even in those figures, I would like a measure of V3/M3 Et all, compatibility. If I could get "tootsie" quality figures for background it would be awsome. I think Valander was working on a set of Low Res figures a while back I had big hopes for. But they never materialized.
