I use Vue4 and it works fine for me, only problem is when rendering something large using Ultra setting I have to go watch a movie or something...is any later version of Vue faster?

Thank you sooooooooooo much I racked my brain over this one. It works great. Just a thought but how about putting this in the tut section for others new like myself.

I have had the idea roaming around in my head of a full version thumbnail for a while, now that you mention it I'll give it a try and see if it floats.

What I do is every so often go through and prune those images that have been around and haven't drawn much interest.

I had the same problem hopely someone here can help us both...

I did find a way around, I hope it's not cheating but I render in Apophysis then use screen capture in PSP7..."BYE" Wayne

I agree, I post a thumbnail res. of 200x200 and I use my Paint Shop Pro 7 and don't have a problem. It let me export in a broad band of commpression rates, let's me see the results and even gives the download time it will take. Try Cindy's advice I'm sure there are some good freebies out there.

I downloaded the trial (30 days) of UltraFractal and so far am please, it also helps beginners set up their own formula's plus has layers very cool.

I am also new and have incorporated one image already, there are lots of free programs out there to get your feet wet, some are Tierazon, Flarium24, GrafZViZion, Iris and many others. Xenodream (shareware) I just found out was a 3D fractal, what I've seen looks good though I haven't tried it yet. Hope this helps..."BYE" Wayne

Something really stinks here, I been turn down because my image file was just a tad over...now you tell me all the trouble I've had keeping my thumbnail exact was for nothing, what's up with that?

More detail is what I'm looking for. Like exp. with a human figure, one map for eyes, one for lips etc. Right now I'm just working with objects (Knives, swords, etc.), but the one tex.map for all is hard to get the detail I want. I would like one map for blade, one for handle, etc.
