I'm sure that will work, but there is an adjustment for a Torus (Under E) that you can set the thickness while keeping the height of the Torus the same. It defaults to 256, and I was wondering what the relationship was to the diameter of a cylinder.
Thread: Terrain editor and Posterize question | Forum: Bryce
I can certainly do it in a paint program, but I was taking a terrain in Bryce and Posterizing it. Looks like it is always blurring the edges.

To see what Bryce can be made to do model-wise: http://www.deeptextures.demon.co.uk/oracianfmr.htm Amazing.

Used a plain red sphere with transparency set to like 50% with a light inside at 5 intensity, red it color, and a ranged falloff of 1. I'll have to play around with the color some, but it looks ok. Thanks!

I don't know how to fix it, but something about the field of view on the camera or something is making the perspective look a little weird and forced. The top of the tower slopes down radically towards the horizon, or is that just the shape of it?
Thread: Valley Forge, WIP2 | Forum: Bryce
I will have to say that, in my opinion, the starfield is too dense, both for asthetics and realism. In fact, if you were really "there", you probably wouldn't see many stars at all, if any, because the reflected light from Saturn would drown everything else out... But what we want is a nice image, right? :-)
Thread: searching for utilities | Forum: Bryce
Nothing, as far as I know, can read Bryce except for Bryce... I sure wish someone would crack the .OBP and .BR4 formats. There's a lot of cool utilities that could be done.

I agree with Deathbringer, although if you are deep underwater and cannot see the surface, then perhaps use some visible lights to "shaft" through and not make the background so "watery/wavy". If you look to closely, it almost looks like the surface of the water is vertical. Great picture, though!
