You should move that explosion a bit to the left. That way, it will be more clearly way behind them (somewhat cropped by the door-weilding werewolf) and not possibly blowing up out of the back of the hauler itself, and help clarify the werewolf's sillhouettte in the process.
That or you could move your camera left, which might be more dramatic, closer to the front edge of the hauler (what lense are you on? Go wide!)and would bring the bg explosion still somewhat behind the door wolf.
Lookin' good.
Thread: Is Windows7 preventing me from installing Poser7 content? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
General, you're pretty close to the mark.
Embarrassingly, I've been trying to install the wrong file. Quite simply downloaded the wrong thing.
Thanks for you suggestions. Actually, it was the note here to ask around at DAZ Nuts n Bolts that finally got me around to sorting the problem.
Thanks again.
Thread: Is Windows7 preventing me from installing Poser7 content? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Yeah, I wish it were that straight forward.
I've closed that "may not have installed prperly" wizard and I've also let it try reinstalling. But in the end the files just aren't there.
I've gotten that message from a number of other little content .exe apps as I reinstall them, but like you say, the content is loaded regardless. Unfortunately, not in this case.
I tried contacting the vendor, Predatron, through his website, but the inbox there is full. I see he's a member here, so I've sent a message and hope he receives it. I really do want to use his model, it seems perfect for my needs.

Thanks.
Yeah, after I started looking into it and realized that you more likely meant this.
Tried it, but it didn't help at all. Bummer.

These are useful suggestions. Thanks.
I've got the UAC completely off. The XP Mode sounds like a promising thing to try, but of course I have the baseline OS so it's not available to me. mrfrrmrgrumblemicrosoft
But the DAZ Nut n Bolts forum is also a strong lead. Thanks again.
Thread: Can you import/export FBMs? (P7) | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm... I'm a bit daunted trying to identify anything in the cr2. Found a freeware cr2 editor but still couldn't make out how to make it plug (in this instance) M3's head to the head obj which I modified. Also couldn't find any online documentation or discussion of what one is looking at...
Then I tried to do this in Poser's Properties tab. But I'm assuming I have a vertex numbering problem because it came out looking like pinhead. I'd post a hilarious (but predictable) image but no longer see "upload image" option.
So I'm assuming that Poser exports the obj without changing the vertex numbering and that somewhere between importing and then exporting the obj to/from Maya 7 is where the renumbering is taking place.
Has anyone dealt with Maya 7's vertex numbering... situation?

Switched that setting back and forth. Crashed it immediately, now it has quit crashing. Go figure, but at least it's in the good way...
The video card is an Nvidia GeForce GT 130M.
Thread: 64-bit OS and Poser 7... known issues? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I checked and indeed there was a later driver for my video card, installed it but it changed none of the issues I'm encountering...
That said, I've discovered that if I move the camera on an empty workspace before loading a figure it seems to be able to continue. Weird and dumb, but workable.

Quote - Just a question...are you running Aero?
Before the flaming begins, let me preface my response by making clear that Aero interfered with Poser 7 on MY machine, ok people?...MY machine...lol. I turned Aero off and now Poser 7 runs fine. It seems that Vista is very picky with what it will cause problems with, because it seems to differ from machine to machine.
Now, this was nothing more than food for thought - something for you to try - not a recommendation.
Laurie
Thanks -- and I appreciate the question, delicate flamers get thee behind me!
No, I don't think I am... I'm not even sure what aero is, but I searched for anything with that name on my rig and came up no match.
Although I will report a work-around that seems to be working. If I move the camera on an empty workspace, before loading any figure, it seems to be able to continue... Strange and dumb, but workable.

What about Vista issues? Are there known issues between Poser 7 and Vista (Home x64)?
Poser was working for a day, with occasional immediate-upon-loading crashes. Now it's crashing as soon as I try to move the camera around a figure... Boooo!
Anyone know of any issues I should be looking at or addressing?

Quote - The only reason I'm even considering is in the hopes that it will work on my Vista laptop. P7 is damn near useless on it. (and yes, I've followed every vista recommendation there is)
I've just had to move to Vista x64, and now Poser 7 crashes as soon as I try to move the camera around a figure...
I'm having a hard time finding Vista recommendations... What have you tried?
I wonder if Windows 7 will help/fix it, but I need a solution before then...

Quote - I'l try to give a quick workflow runthrough.
Your goal is to make Vicki 9.9's breasts look less realistic. You take the base figure into a modeling program and do a great job of it. Save your work as a new .obj with a readily identifiable name back to the same folder. Then open the .cr2 file in a text editor and change the two references to which .obj file/geometry file is used by the character to the new name.
The two key files to making a character go are the .obj and .cr2 file. If you save the morphs to an external file, you also have the .pmd file, but just leave that alone.
Extremely helpful. Thank you for breaking this down for me.
And thank you lesbentley, I'll look at that, too...

Hmm... I wish this made sense to me. Sounds like it's pointing towards interesting territory.
I'm not completely backwards -- as far as figuring programs out -- but I find the Poser manual a bit under-informative.
Thread: Poser Pro exports to Maya -- versions supported? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hmm, this is good info. Thanks.
Yeah, bringing Poser's pre-rigged figures into Maya actually would be a huge plus, as I'm not currently trying to master rigging myself, but generally am trying to work through scenes that are a bit intense for Poser's (apparent) memory capacity and awkward interface...
The texturing thing is also a set back, and it sounds like there would be about the same amount of selecting and reassigning so I'm not sure I (who am not any kind of MEL scripter) would get any benefit there.
Thanks again, replicand. I appreciate you sharing the knowledge.

That's great news. That and the Windows 7 news.
