I'm using Firefox. Funny thing, now that I rebooted everything seems just fine. I guess I'm still a bit noob at these things despite years of Windowz usage... :D

That is wonderful news, shows yet again how responsive the staff here is to the wishes of the community! I found myself wondering why I reacted so strongly and so quickly to the changes, and came to the conclusion that it's because I'm way more hooked to this place than I think I am :D Keep up your great work!

By the way, browsing has become much faster than it was before now that things are a bit more stabilized after the initial hassle. Congrats on that too!

I just came back from a trip, opened my mailbox and started viewing images that my fave artists had posted during my absence. After about 50 extra click-and-wait-for-the-bigger-image -to-loads (and, subsequently, also 50 extra window closing clicks) I can only second your opinion completely. Please, please, Rosity staff, when you have the time, make the new screen between the gallery thumbnail/bot message and the actual, full-size work of art optional!

Oh wow! I wasn't expecting the FWW to be back this soon, thank you very much.

I would like to add that I understand the current situation and that I appreciate all the terrific work the mods have done, but since I'm an incurable fractal junkie I had to express my curiosity nevertheless. I'd be glad to assist in maintaining the site, as I'm sure many of us would, but my skills and my free time (what's that?) are by far insufficient for that. Keep up the good work Barb, but pretty please, could you drop us a line every now and then? Just a simple "hold on you whiners, it's ready when it's ready" would do nicely!

Noooo way, I'm completely calm and relaxed. Hhhhehe. hits head against table repeatedly ... Just kidding. Almost. Any news yet?

I see your point. Any amount of fuss is fuss anyways, so luring casual bypassers here can be more difficult. However, if someone really does want to come and see the galleries but is afraid of spam, why give your real email address, name or other actual info when signing up? It's relatively painless to set up a 'fake' email account at hotmail or other such service for this purpose. Also, I don't know about your experiences with Rosity and spam, but to this day I've received zero spam messages to the mail address I wrote on the sign-up sheet. Well, so much for that. But it keeps the trolls at bay quite effectively. Signing up takes about two minutes, shouldn't be too much of a nuisance. And I dare say that if someone really is interested in the images found at Rosity, he or she will sign up.

All this yadda yadda over a slight change in browsing the galleries...what the...? Get some fresh air and calm the hell down. I think it's pretty cool to be able to close the image window just by clicking anywhere on the picture, makes it faster and easier to navigate the galleries. Should make it more convenient for dial-up users also, trust me I've been there.
