I finally got the re-install to stick.ย I had to delete every reference to poser 7 in the registration file.ย Hopefully this will solve all the issues.
Phil,ย Thanks for all your attempts

Phil,
I install SR2.1, but still nothing. I've tried a full uninstall/re-install, SR upgrade, reboot/restart, checked video driver with nVIDIA,ย and have one strand of hair yet to be pulled.
Thanks for the suggestions thus far.
The underlying issue that started the whole process, was that when rendered to image files the backround transparancy was not included in PNG format.
I am going to try to open the file in P6 to get production back on track.ย I will let you know if I find a fix, but if you have any additional ideas please let me know.
Thanks,
V

I took PhilC's advice, but Poser7 still does not open.ย It gets to the start-up screen that has the shadowed runners on it and then closes.ย There is no error message, no blue screens, etc.
Does anyone know what portion of the application is trying to load at this point (during the screen)?ย
The program was working yesterday, with a couple render issues, and today it is toast.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks Phil.ย You and I have been here from the humble beginnings, but I seem to be the one who always post with problems.
I will give your suggestion a try.ย Thanks in advance.

I'm having a simular crash situation.ย Do you know which file needs to be deleted?ย It seems if a file crashes once that there is a large probability that it will crash again.
I've backed off firefly and tried rendering in p4, but I still get a message about reducing the demands of firefly.
I've only got a few hairs left to pull out.ย Help.

Got it!! Thanks for the help. I had not gotten a good Joint transfer. Everything snapped into place when I started from scratch and let logic (and your suggestions) guide me.
Thanks
ps again... Do you still ride bikes?

Jim, So... the proper order is Figure (V3), Clothes + shoes, then morph inject. Then I set "stillettos" to 1 on the "body" dial. I've done this hundreds of times, but maybe I've been lucky in the past. Thank you for the exceptional customer service. V

I'm losing it...

Jim, I don't think I had any problems with these in P5 (will try it there). I did a clean reload of elements (standard V3, not GV) after I first ran across the problem and simply loaded the morphs which rendered the effect. Do the feet need to be at a "zero" state before targets are applied? Once again, I love your stuff and this could be just a simple case of my stupidity. I am still banging on it and will let you know if I find the solution. I just thought that perhaps you might have seen this before. Thanks, V ps "the Girl" is loving her clubbin wear.

Thank You very much. I was considering the pulling of my one remaining hair. That control node that resides off the line makes a huge difference. Is there any additional control (spline handles) in P6? I am using 5. V

I would jump on the pre-order in a New York minute if I had product information that told me a bit more about the new features (other than the lighting and OpenGL)so I can determine how they benefit me. Are the CL folks going to tell us more before the offer expires? Visque
Thread: is there a "dynamic cloth mattress" anywhere?o_o | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I've got my render system tied up, but I based the settings on little dragons (with less stretch resistence). I started off trying the "jumping on the bed" thing and it turned into a trampoline (sorta the way my mind works too).
I will post the settings when my system frees-up.
