Thread: Daz studio does not read a mt5 file made in poser? importing issues help! | Forum: DAZ|Studio
thanks RHaseltine
Nop I used the importer and it does not work for this .cr2
I made the cr2 in poser pro 2010 from props and it does not have bones not rigged I am wondering if it might be it.
Also I dont use the DS I am trying to now.

the cr2 starts to load and then it simply crashes, if I load the external geometrie .obj it loads fine.
yes I have been trying the DS4 now and yes, he does read some mat files from poser but just the basic, in resume to get a proper shader one have to redo it again, I made some shaders then I can apply them on the props has I load them since they all have the same shaders, ...
don't know if this is the best option...

I was starting to get that conclusion! so it is nessecary to make new materials for daz every time you get a poser content, humm, that is not that good.

Has far has I know it is pretty much talk to talk!
It does have a different fell if you make everything in a image, but the industry has reached a level of perfectionism that it is pretty much not sustainable to do all by yourself
I remember a video that I saw people calling Dylan Cole a cheater, he is one of the best artists at the moment, and the reaction of Dylan Cole was:
"Anything goes in matte painting; it just got to look good"
Thread: Help!!(.cr2s, pz3s, etc) should never include mesh data (embedded geometry/objec | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Well, the other programs like max c4d they use instances when duplicating objects in a scene, so it wont overlload the memory usage.
In poser the way they got around it is with external geometry, i think both of them have disavantages and advantajes but for poser since there is a great part of hoobiest's it's better this way I have to say, also you can allways change the geometry, it is nice!

Thanks Lesbentley
I have just done that already, If only you had arrive a sonner It would saved be a few hours of mind processing, eheheh
yeap it ends up being simple for cr2,
anyway I found a way for the pp2, moving the props files to the geometries (my location) folder then it automaticaly assumes the right path (using the geometry striper), after that move them back to the props folder, no need to go on the text editor.
Thanks

Thanks LaurieA
It is a good program, I allready had it.
The problem it that it only strips pp2 and you have to edit to point it at the desired folder.
Thanks

Thanks PhilC
That is exacly what I needed to Know!
I have add it to my whislist, ehehe
...and it is a lot better for memory usage also since, if, it's duplicated it will only count has one mesh...
Thanks

Hey PhilC
I have downloaded the PZ3editor Lite version, it is nice thanks works much better than a normal text editor.
I have a question in the PZ3editor full version when I strip the .pp2 or .cr2 can I directly assign the path to the geometry folder or do I have to write one by one the path to the folder (like in lite version)?
Because I allready have the .obj
thanks PhilC

Thanks PhilC
I was reading a tutorial about this, I got it now.
But I still have a dough about the .cr2 if I make the cr2 with props directing the obj to the geometry will this make a cr2 with geometry not embedded? (Because when I open the cr2 in the text editor it’s a lot different from a pp2)
Thanks
Thread: Help on polygon plane faces in Poser 7! Importing objects to Poser ! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Hi markschum
** **
“In the modeler cutting and pasting each triangle in place will make them separate polygons and poser is ok with that”
Thanks for the advice it sounds good, and I didn`t thought or tried that, it is a good solution!
Good Sunday to everyone…

Meanwhile
I`ve just found a way to resolve it!
Here it is (for someone with the same problem):
Import has quads or untriagulate (similar), (might work with triangles also),
In Poser import as usual then, Parameters Properties
Put the shading rate to 0,00 Uncheck smooth polygons, put crease angle to 1,00,
And in the firefly render settings put the value Min shading rate to 0,00
It takes longer to render but it is very good now! (most appropriate for final render)
Thanks
now I know more about this issue
and nice weekend
