Thread: Poser Pro 2014 ON SALE?! but anyone know what a "hybrid digital" is? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
OH well glad my silly dyslexia caused me to post this thread, so it actually helped someone find out it was on sale! LOL!
I got mine...bit of a clunky way you have to GET the download of each part... seems we are forced to use a 'download manager' - which was simple enough...once I took over control - ie: I would NOT let SM manager INSTALL my stuff...I copied each part out of the odd place it downloaded to (Users-Your name-SM download manager) to a folder and then I installed only the ones I wanted by right clicking and 'run as administrator' (also found I had more control by doing that on the installed Poser.exe AND the desktop shortcut too... but finally got it all downloaded, what I wanted installed and set up, BACKED UP THE FILES, then I UN-INSTALLED that download manager! Whew!!
But I got it now....so I'm welcoming myself to the TRUE 64 bit world of Poser!! wooo hooo!! (apparently 2014 is the ONLY TRUE 64 bit version of poser!!! did my research). Plus I want/need the fitting room thingy!! Now to LEARN it all! :) It's neat tho, that it looks like P9, so I'm comfortable with the interface (once I pulled everything to the spots I wanted them in).

Thread: any one else site white out ??? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I reported this in the Community Center forum... and they seemed to have fixed it (I HATE Chrome and FIrefox)...to have to "go get" all the "add ons" just to make it work... sheesh...but that's another subject and just MY opinion and I am dyslexic... so IE 11 it is.
NOW the forum pages load, but do still GO WHITE for about 2 seconds before the page I expect to see " pops in" ... so at least I can get around...

Thread: Rendo Pages Going Blank ?! | Forum: Community Center
oh glad it was happening to others as I have no idea how to provide the information I was asked for... It was happening in the forums I went to- Freestuff and Poser (being the only ones I have been to after the change). It SEEMS OK now...will report back if it happens again... it is SLOW loading a particular thread, it does go white/blank, but then "pops in"... so patience is required...but so far, so good.
Thank you.

Thank you very much Lyne for the adult and baby Kangaroo & Wallaby.
I was also searching for a kiwi bird.
You're very talented and generous, merci beaucoup.
Your very welcome....if you go to HiveWire3d, Ken and his bird sets are all there now...He has a bird set for Australia that should have a kiwi....I have it, but have not checked it for one... not free, but really super real birds.

giggle, bragging, are you? just teasing...I got a VERY high end machine built too, win7 64 bit, ssd drive and sata drive, 64 mb ram, etc...HUGE super case etc.. LOVING IT...and it was all to use the 64 bit versions of poser and carrara... just got my 2014 installed this am...what a CHORE to use their download manager thingy...I installed and updated manually so I could choose how,etc... one thing is to click on the exe's and choose "run as administrator" to give myself more control... Now it's all set up, the ui just the way I like it... now to TRY IT OUT! LOL!!
That is A very VERY good price, since it's even less than the sale a few months ago!! wooo hooo!! (I really am dyslexic...it's wonder I do get around as well as I do! LOL!...at least I DO laugh at myself...after groaning a lot!)

This was a bit of a hairy challenge, but I am pretty pleased with the results. Pose shown here is MINE, done by 'loosening up' the dials of the involved body parts...not available as a Free Pose. But YOU can loosen up the dials and pose as desired - just double click any body part dials, and increase the positive and negative limits! :)

I hope this set works in all Posers. (NOT USED or tested in Daz Studio). If any one finds any glitches, please IM me here at Rendo. I did not have anyone to beta test my Farrow runtime. I took the files right out of my own Poser 9, where they do work for me. In fact Farrow looks a LOT better than when I was using old P5/6 (where I had rendered these images) back in my on line store days. :)

Thread: Poser Pro 2014 ON SALE?! but anyone know what a "hybrid digital" is? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Right. I got that...the odd thing is that the SIDE GRADE is $135....while the 'hybrid' (with no serial number needed) is ONLY $202? So why would they sell it to those who don't own Poser for a lower price?
I remember the sale for 2014 that I STUPIDLY did not take advantage of a few months ago, was for all versions, and as a side grade, I could have gotten it for ...I think... $145... still bashing myself over the head for not acting on that one! sigh.
At any rate, being dyslexic, and careful, I am trying to be really sure WHAT it is that I'm buying... I don't mind a download only product, as I am also careful to back up to an external drive AND to burn to a DVD....
Thanks to every and anyone for input on this... !

WHY did you make the icons ROUND?! That shape cuts off many parts of our icons... and that's the least of this NEWEST mess! As was said already, the whole forum is HUGE yet the text is tiny...and the icons on the bottom make no sense now! I can't figure out how to add a picture... and I can NOT EDIT my post (with in a minute of posting, like I used to).... Just what kind of electronic device are your programmers writing the site code FOR?? Surely not an ordinary computer with a MONITOR?!?! I try to spend as little $$ as I can these days, gave up my Prime, and I don't come here anymore for days on end... just check my OLD and FAV venders once in a while, and I post to my FREESTUFF thread... but gee whiz... not that anyone will care, but I had to TRY to have my voice heard.... :( (It's very obvious from the last major change that no one made any changes BACK to features so many wanted to keep.)

well the EDIT did not work... I HATE this new forum .... was TRYING to add: as soon as my beta tester for my farrow pack is looked over by Vilian, and I get that set posted, I'll be offering that as well!

I got all the final tweaks done...then spent time doing detailed screen caps of 'how to' apply the new texture map....once you have it applied, you can save the new CHARACTER to your noodle folder so he's all set to go... So finalizing the "readme" files will take a bit more time... meanwhile I had some FUN posing noodle... found out he has a lot of LIMITS and spent time um...opening each dial and making (for example) a limb part movement more "open" from say, 30 to 130...so I could pose the way I want to... I mean being a cat lover, I DO know what I can do....so sadly I can't give out new poses as I'd have to give out a new cr2 with the dials opened up... and I just don't have time for encoding, etc... but ANY one who knows cats and has the time to increase the body part's dial limits can have even more fun with this great toon cat! :)
ANYWAY, soon as I have the files all set, I'll upload, set him up and get that information posted!
SEE MY GALLERY for a new picture! :) Edit: and I am also having Vilian beta test my Farrow Morph/Map pack, and will offer that when "we" are all done! :)

Sorry Shante, I don't have the time or energy to take on doing any more Harry textures at this time...it takes SO much work... I MIGHT in the far future, hard to say...and no, the folks at Hive have their hands FULL with all the things on their plate, without trying to get them to do another type of horse... maybe someone with morphing and mapping skills will do this in the future... but who knows...it's a very "niche" type of thing... it is a very interesting animal, but... !

Farrow? Oh my goodness haven't thought about him in YEARS... will look into it.. in the meantime I went through a "hair tearing out process" to do Nickie Noodle!... wip pic...OK this new format is WEIRD... I see no way to upload an image!? I'll toss it in my gallery...as I'm LATE right now...rushed... link:

I learn best by doing.... I found a way to put Howie's birch bark TRUNK texture ONTO the brich BRANCHES...looks better this way to me.... and also how to move objects around in a scene...I also disciverd an ODD thing in comparing render times with sizes and dpi...
Any thoughts?
I also am doing something I never thought I would do!! Leaving my machine to render while I sleep!! I need my super computer for STUFF during the day and so I was "forced" to do one last night... but only with the fact I have a BATTERY BACK UP surge protector and only when the weather is NOT threatening! :)
